Adrift is directed by acclaimed director Baltasar Kormakur. It is based on the inspiring true story of a young couple who met by destiny and fall in love with each other. Tami Oldham ( Shailene Woodley ) and Richard Sharp ( Sam Claflin ),  then set out for a journey, which they don't know will be a lifetime experience for them. 

Their journey begin  across the ocean from Tahiti to San Diego. Two free spirits could not foresee that they would be sailing into the most disastrous hurricanes recorded in  history. After the storm ends Tami awakens and she find Richard who is badly injured with their boat damaged. Tami a brave soul, despite of no hope for rescue, strives hard to save herself and her love Richard. As the trailer shows, through all odds Tami shows valor and courage. Adrift is an alluring story that depicts the power of love and unshakeable resilience of human spirit.
